9th Memory [Action/Voice]

[After a very tiring last few weeks—between learning about things she's forgotten and turning into things she could never willingly forget—Sayo found herself resting comfortably in Luceti. The experiment, while straining for some, wasn't so bad. She'd gotten to record an image of her son's face while she was stuck in his body... and now she can proudly put the picture on a table in her living room.

Even with her in his body, it was still so him. Did they really share the way they emoted that well? It's something to laugh about.

She's also been working on making something beyond the traditional Japanese outfit. Because honestly? She wanted to try something new—even if it meant her knowledge of clothes-making was in jeopardy, she didn't mind it. She'd relearn it later, hmm?

So she's been making blankets and dropping them off at the clothes store. Ones that are
moreso her world's style, some that are patterned unlike anything she's used to (—and what interesting ways of making blankets! Quilts!). She can't help but ask, as she sits contently to watch people come and go:]

[Voice for Everyone Ever]

What type of hobbies do you enjoy doing? And has this place made you form any new ones?

[After that, she'll leave, and uncharacteristically veer off her usual path toward the inner forest.

She's been hearing (repeatedly, forgetting often, relearning often...) that there are spirits here that can teach people things. She's not sure which to listen to first, but she knows she wants to try. Try... and see if it's something her mind will keep intact. Perhaps the water one... or the wind one... Ah, those would be good! They would be helpful to protect oneself without hurting the other person fighting, right?

When she feels she's far out enough, she speaks hesitantly—]

Hello...? Is... is this how I speak with you...?

[Granted, you may find her lost in the forest. Which way was back again... hmmm... :|a]

Thank you. As for chess, each piece moves differently. You put them into place so that your opponent can't move any of his men without you capturing the king. That's checkmate.

Yes. It's a form of swordplay. The battle dome conveniently allows me to fight simulated opponents.

...I'll show you.

[there's some shifting for a moment, as he pulls out his laptop from somewhere else on the desk. After a moment though she'll be able to hear this through the journal.]

I draw designs for my company to pass idle time in Luceti. [And chat up random people, like now]

Cigars, reading, solving criminal cases, stacking rocks, practicing the jitte, and sailing.

No new ones to speak of. How about you.

[Right, she didn't know what pizza was, either.] Oh, man. Have I got a lot to teach you!

First thing's first - a flick. A movie, you know? Actors, Hollywood, all the works? Ring any bells?

[...Must come from a more primitive society.]

Guitars are stringed musical instruments, usually made of wood. Applying pressure at varying points on the string and then strumming them produces notes.

Aircraft are... tougher to explain. Think of them as vehicles that are capable of flying through the sky, sort of like a bird.

I could teach you if you want. It might be difficult, but it's worth learning.

It's not as dangerous once I've started. There's also proper fencing wear to keep myself guarded.

None of that stuff in your world either, huh? I was afraid of that.

[Okay, baby steps.] Well...think of a story. Then imagine a bunch of dudes telling it by pretending to be the characters in the story and doing whatever they do. We call 'em actors, 'cause they act it all out instead of telling it. With me so far?

Well, money would be nice. But if we don't need it, it means we don't have to spend any time working unless we want to, right?
