7th Memory [Action/Voice]

[It's been a while since she was taken in by the Malnosso, and it was shockingly easy for her to just ignore any shred of her memory in those cells and live like normal. She didn't dream—didn't have to worry about waking up in a pale fright at the image of scientists... didn't have to worry because memories would slowly fade away over time.

...In fact, it was finally the 2nd, that her usual routine had completely wiped out all memory of being taken in the first place. So don't be surprised if she never brings it up, or if she's confused when you do.

She continues off to work where she'll probably forget her boss is currently a girl, like she would/will everyday (sorry Sanji) and proceeds to do her job. It's a good day. Cold, but good. And even when she forgets what cola is, she's far beyond even her trademark 'confused hand-to-cheek' maneuver.

She just laughs into her hand.

When she realizes she has to get herself some fresh groceries and finish Kamina's scarf, she makes sure to hurry back home and get that done. She actually makes sure to stop by the store daily and get something, as to continue her pattern. And as she sits with her task finished, she makes a meal in honor of Kaji; the images of her son pass through her mind, all welcomed and loved and soothing.

... A thoughtful pause.

She's in the middle of making a third plate of food....? A third meal?

She feels like she's been doing this a lot, lately.]

...My, I... I must have my head pretty far in the clouds...

[Or, at least, she hopes that's all it is. A while later, after much thinking—despite her personality, she thinks more than most probably should—she picks up her journal and speaks softly:]

...What is your happiest memory?

because I must always thread with you

... You know this question just makes him lineface until he thinks of something and then opens up a voice thing]

What is yours?

Unless Sayo tagged him or something.

[Briefly, he thinks of Madame Red's climactic record. He had only seen an incomplete picture but... to think of how much the idea of losing a chance at motherhood effected her. ...He can't fault Sayo for this. It must be an important time for a woman. Unable to refute her answer as asinine, Ciel just pauses before making a sigh and fiddling with his ring off-camera]

...I see. That must have been a wonderful moment indeed to stick with you all this time. [He believes at some point she mentioned her son was his age now]

At least he's tsundere... sorta. Sometimes.

...I shall keep it a secret. I have no wish to share those times, I confess. Dwelling on the past is akin to foolishness.

[Even as he says this though, he fiddles with his ring again off camera so nice lie]

Human thought it may be, it is in poor form to dwell long enough for it to impact what is happening in the now. I can- will not allow such a foolish reverie to overcome me.

[ . . . ]

Even so, I cannot deny your point, Sayo. A human bring has every right to their own memories.

Memories have no value other than serving as signposts. It is your own convictions which matter in terms of strength.

Even so, once they are gained, the memories are less important than the results.

If anything, a goal in and of itself should be a driving force, not any sort of memory.

[...Hah] ...Given your propensity to forget even basic concepts, I suppose you would put an undue emphasis on the importance of memory. What one can take for granted one can devalue, after all.

There are many things that share that nature, Sayo.

[Grimly. Pride, status... all of those can be taken away in an instant. HE sighs]

[identity profile] soulbait.livejournal.com 2011-01-16 01:21 pm (UTC)(link)
In any case, I shan't take up any more of your time. I am sure even you have found ways to keep busy in this village.

[Always, huh?

...He'll keep that in mind]

Until next time.
