21st Memory [Voice/Action?]

[Sayo had a scary moment today. She'd opened her journal for review, flipped through the pages, and found herself speaking with someone she didn't recognize—she didn't recognize? She leaned in, scanned their faces, and her heart dropped into her stomach. And soon she found herself flipping to more and more pages, and they were there, and she knew them. She knew them!]

Crona-san...? K-kamina? Ciel?

Who—

[Suddenly, she's reminded of her faceless husband, and she flusters and grows cold all at once.

There were others. So many others. They had less to look for, but she had forgotten them all the same. Where they important to her? Where they friends? How could she have let this happen? How many others... She turns the page and starts a voice entry, trying to mask the growing anxiety bubbling under the surface of a quiet voice.]

[Voice]

U-um, if you–if you know me, can I talk to you? If you know me at all... I'd like to talk to you again...

[No, think of a good excuse for this. She clears her throat a bit, as if to unruffle some metaphorical feathers. Maybe some non-metaphorical ones, too. And then she pulls up a smile.]



Actually... I was wondering about the 'amusement' place. It just appeared, didn't it? I'm not sure what it is, but people seem like they're really interested in it. What does it do? Perhaps... a food place? Something for games? Have any of you gone yet?

[After that, it's time for venturing to work, and then to the tea shop! She was considering working it for a few hours after Seventh Heaven. It was at least good memories... Few, yes, but they were with Kaji, in their home. That was what mattered to her. It made her happy. Content, even with the usual problems in her day.]

Oh, I hope someone's recording it on the journals! Even if I see it all, I can't imagine someone has forgetful as me would remember it entirely; perhaps I'll do some recording, myself!

I think that's a wonderful idea. That way you have a way to look back on it whenever you need to.

Yes, and if we ever figure out a way to take our journals with us, maybe we can show the people at home, too...

[Oh, that sounded silly.]

I mean, it's a foolish thought. But I'd always wanted to show Kaji some of the things here. I imagine he would like them.

We have opportunities to see things here that we wouldn't at home. It's not a foolish thought, simply one we have no means of achieving at present. It could very well be a hope to hold onto, for yourself... we don't know what the future will bring us, after all.

That's true. The future isn't written up yet, so I'll keep holding out hope, until then. After all, not trying to hold hope can get too depressing, I think.

Some of the things at this park seem truly amazing. I wonder if I have anything like these in my world...?

Hope is a powerful force. As long as you have it, you can continue on each day...

There's always a possibility. Perhaps Ginko would know for certain? [... Ginko.] He does travel a lot in your world.

Ah! You're right! I should have thought about that; maybe I'll talk to him more about things like that...

I don't think it would hurt to ask, and talk about those things. It's something you both share...

That's true... I wonder if I've ever asked him before...

Even if you had, I don't think he'd mind talking of it again.

Oh, I wouldn't want to be a bother, though... I know he's a fan of talking. [She laughs.] Thanks for the help, Raine-san.

I don't think you could ever be a bother to him, Sayo. Take care of yourself, all right?
