[Long since returned home after her ordeal in the draft and her hospital time, Sayo has been reading. You see, when someone brings up a word, this woman here will learn the damn meaning of that word. And when she cannot find an actual meaning? Well, her determination flounders for but a moment! Aaaah, if only urbandictionary.com existed in Luceti. But even she has her limits, and she's all out of her own personal notes.

Finally with a sigh she drops her Merriam-Webster's Dictionary on the table, and turns to the whole of Luceti via her journal with a pleading sort of aura to the bend of her eyebrows.]

Does anyone know what a shithead is??

Well... someone I know uses it often, so I wondered what it meant! But he never tells me, so I had to go looking myself.

So if you're upset with someone or they frustrate you, it's a good word to use?

Ah, not quite. It is a very vulgar phrase. I would avoid it if I were you.

Then you're really new! I've heard people have only recently started coming back in again; it has a sort of... strange calendar to it, I think. Are you doing well here?

A week, perhaps two, yes. Everyone has been quite helpful to me, which I appreciate. I find the only difficulty is trying to pass my time productively.

Oh, I understand how that must feel... Have you considered trying to find some work for yourself, Miss...?

... A doctor? That's wonderful! You must be a very smart person, then--all the doctor's I've met so far seem to be.

A doctor must be equally hard working and willing to study, and have a desire to help others above all else. Many of the men I studied with in medical school were not the smartest I have met, but they all wanted to help people and worked hard to be able to do so. [Just ignore her trying to sidestep the compliment.] But. Thank you.

It must take a lot of study, then... I can't imagine how many things you have to learn, in that sort of work.

We had to study, then memorize, then execute what was studied in a practical setting. It took time but I believe it was worth the effort. Though apparently I do not know enough for this world just yet. There are the wings, the other varieties of humanoid biology, etc. There is studying to do once more, yes? But then I do not think I mind it.

It at least gives you something to do, if nothing else, right?

I have honestly missed the excitement that comes from discovering something I did not already know. It was my favorite part of medical school.

Aaah, then you'll have to tell me about the things you learn! It's good for me to keep learning new things, after all; anything about Luceti, the better.

I will keep you updated on anything relevant that I come across, though if you've time there is plenty of space in the Library and the School, at least from what I've heard.
